Through our unwavering commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, we aim to maintain our position as the premier institution for Japanese language education in Malaysia and continue to be the trusted partner in helping our students realize their aspirations of studying in Japan. At Lupeichun Japan Education Centre, we are dedicated to shaping futures, fostering cultural exchange, and creating lifelong learners who are prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
Working Part-Time
Working part-time provides an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese society. However, effective communication skills are essential. Additionally, striking a balance between your studies and work can be a challenging endeavour.
To fully embrace the study abroad experience, it’s crucial not only to refine your Japanese language skills but also to carefully choose your future workplace. We provide guidance to new students by offering orientation on essential aspects of part-time employment, including regulations related to the necessary permissions, how to interpret job offers, and assistance in preparing resumes and interviews.
Furthermore, taking into account each student’s interests, goals, and language proficiency, we help connect them with suitable job opportunities and provide ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition into their new work and study routines.
It’s important to note that international students are generally not permitted to work unless they obtain specific permission, known as the “Permission to engage in activity other than that permitted under the status of residence previously granted.” This permission enables students to work part-time for up to 28 hours per week (8 hours a day, 40 hours per week during extended school holidays).
In Tokyo, the average hourly wage for part-time work is around 1,100 JPY.
